During this pandemic, AES, like the whole energy sector, has been deemed an essential business and we recognize how critical it is to maintain reliable and continuous operation during this difficult situation. People depend on us for the critical services we provide now more than ever, and all our operations are rigorously implementing the measures needed to mitigate the spread of COVID-19 and ensuring the continuity of our operations. We have also provided basic needs support to the communities and first responders during this time through the donation of water personal protective equipment, and virtual webinars on topics such as handling stress during COVID and safety during COVID. Past winners and participants of our “Empowering Innovative Entrepreneurship” program were also recognized for their resiliency, agility, and ability to pivot their commercial strategies in the face of numerous business disruptions and received funds to support their continued operations.
