Karen has over 16 years of experience as an attorney with a focus on corporate law and providing financial and commercial advice. As part of her function, she provides legal advice and support on regulatory and corporate issues to all AES Puerto Rico businesses.

Within her role, Karen has collaborated in several of AES Puerto Rico's key projects that are transforming Puerto Rico’s energy matrix and supporting the acceleration of the future of energy towards a cleaner and more sustainable one.

Karen earned her Juris Doctor from the University of Puerto Rico School of Law, and subsequently earned a Master in Business Administration with a concentration in International Commerce from the University of Puerto Rico. During this time, she participated in exchange programs at the School of Law of the University of Barcelona and at the School of Economic and Business Sciences of the Complutense University of Madrid.
