Jesus Bolinaga is President of AES Puerto Rico. The AES Puerto Rico complex in Guayama supplies up to 25% of the island's energy needs and consists of a thermal plant and a solar plant, as well as emergency generators and batteries. Previously, Mr. Bolinaga served as director of the Caribbean Complex between 2018 and 2020.

Jesus has over 25 years of experience in the energy sector serving in a number of leadership roles overseeing renewable generation, thermal generation, distribution and new energy solutions such as energy storage, commercial optimization and customer efficiencies in Venezuela, Argentina, Brazil, the United States, Mexico, the Dominican Republic and El Salvador. 

He previously worked in the Punta Cana - Macao Energy Consortium in the Dominican Republic (198 MW installed capacity), serving more than 60% of the country's hotel infrastructure, through a wind farm, a biomass boiler with 4 tons of steam and 16 thermal platforms. He has also served as General Manager for Distribuidora de Electricidad AES Sul in Brazil and was president of AES Dominicana in the Dominican Republic. In 2012 he received the National Quality Award for ISO 9000 and 14001 certifications, managing a natural gas terminal and a group of electricity generators, for his work in the Dominican Republic overseeing 840 MW.

From 2009 to 2011 he served as general manager of the Central Dique Power Plant in Argentina with 68 MW installed and of the Distribution companies EDELAP and EDES, and before that as a Regional Manager in Florida with the Climatic Solutions projects in Latin America. From 2005 to 2008 he worked in Caracas, Venezuela as director of the Electricity Marketing Unit.

Jesus holds a Master of Business Administration from Bournemoth University, England in International Business and is married and the father of 3 young adults.
