Elías Sostre is the Complex Director of AES Puerto Rico and has been part of the AES team since the inauguration of our first plant in Puerto Rico twenty years ago. Born in Humacao, Puerto Rico, he received a degree in Instrumentation Technology from the Technological Institute of Puerto Rico, a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Networks, and a Master's Degree in Industrial Management from the Inter-American University of Puerto Rico. 

In 2001, he joined the AES Puerto Rico team and over the past two decades has held various operational and leadership positions, including Turbine Operator, Control Room Operator, Shift Leader, Boiler Leader, Control Room Leader and Operations Manager before being named Complex Director. 

Prior to joining AES Puerto Rico, Elías worked in the pharmaceutical industry with Smith Kline Beecham and in the petrochemical industry, from 1994 to 2001, with Chevron Phillips.
